Little bit of powdered milk can help it out in that situation. Stuff’s fairly inexpensive and stores well. I don’t tend to use a lot of milk in general so I keep a bag or can of it around for cooking, haven’t had to do a smelly chunky was-milk pour of shame in ages.
It’s been decades since I’ve seen the exotic orange cheese powder, but last time I recall, it wasn’t water soluble?
