Trump also told the Times that he isn’t opposed to using nuclear force if he “needed it” to take over the Arctic island but that “it might upset NATO," since the island is a self-governing territory of NATO member country Denmark.

Seeing him hang from the neck is psychologically important to me, but I guess we can’t always get what we want.

        *He is the rapist.

        Correct.

I think the thing people didn’t put together in 2016 his “grab them by the pussy” comment was about children in his beauty pageants.

Wait, is there something especially fucked up about his affair with Stormy Daniels beyond run-of-the-mill adultery and prostitution?

No, it wasn’t. It was during an interview with an Access Hollywood reporter as he was preparing for his guest appearance on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. He was joking about Arianne Zucker, an actress that he was about to meet.

          Still disgusting and inexcusable language.

“Them” is clearly referring to a general attitude toward women and girls here but people clocked it as about adults for exactly the reason you mentioned but its clear in the wider context of trump he meant far more than that.

Ummm… what? Did the media just sane wash this headline? Trump is ok with nuking his way into owning Greenland and we’re just all ok with that?

The U.S. president told the paper in an article published on Jan. 8 that just “one thing” stands in the way of him and world dominance. “My own morality. My own mind,” he said. "It’s the only thing that can stop me.”

      Well, that’s very reassuring

If it doesn’t scare the shit out of you that this narcissistic psychopath just casually mentions that he would like to drop nukes, then it should

We’ve been on the brink of nuclear annihilation multiple times but always escaped fate because there were calm cool smart heads that intervened. Those heads are gone, it’s now all removed narcissists.

This asshole is just casually blabbing about burning down the entire world, and there ain’t shit we can do to stop or even change this.

The two times we evaded nuclear hellfire were in the 60s and 80s. And in both those cases it was the Soviets who kept their cool and realized that it was a technical error that gave a false positive.

I don’t think anyone in either government is cool enough to do that today.

Even without the projection distortion, Greenland is pretty big. It’s more than 3 times larger than France. But it’s definitely not as large as the US as it seems in the projection.

It would 100% be the end of the world.

Using any kind nuclear force ends in a global apocalypse. Thousands or scenarios and simulations were run on this topic for the past several decades, and the result is always the same. Whoever start shooting nukes for whatever reason, it doesn’t matter at the end. There is always escalation by other parties, and most of humanity dies.

Uhhh…the coverup worked. I’m 42, and this is the first I’ve ever heard that we nuked Greenland. I feel like that SHOULD be common knowledge, but I’m willing to bet if I ask 100 random people, 0 will think I’m telling the truth if I told them we’ve nuked Greenland before.

I mean, it’s not accurate to say we nuked them, as no nuclear detonation occurred. We did contaminate the area with radiation and likely harmed the Danish workers assisting in the cleanup.

The cleanup was performed by people who didn’t know that these were nuclear weapons though.

          Also:

Although they did not work at Camp Hunziker, the Danes worked at the Tank Farm where the contaminated ice was collected, in the port from which the contaminated debris was shipped, and also serviced the vehicles used in the clean-up.

The report also confirmed that the United States stockpiled nuclear weapons in Greenland until 1965, contradicting assurances by Danish foreign minister Niels Helveg Petersen that the weapons were in Greenland’s airspace, but never on the ground

I had no idea and am fairly well read. I knew we(understandably,) tried to nuke north carolins with two hydrogen bombs. They did not go off so they declared an oopsie but may have never found one.

Then portugal there was an accident, sent armed forces to clean it up with no warning or gear and they all got cancer.
