Also, since you ran out of arguments and started correcting people’s spelling, *then.

6·1 day agoI’m also horseless, but their analog clock is a wind-up, no batteries required. So if you’re snowed in and can’t get to the store, it’s one less thing that will take up batteries.

294·1 day agoHonestly if you can’t calculate things on an abacus you shouldn’t be in the exam room tbh. Sure, calculators have been invented and have ultimately replaced the abacus in nearly every facet of day to day life, but surely you know how to add beads together?
We’re letting kids use GPS to get to school now? What the street signs and constellations aren’t good enough for you?
Well yeah, they’re made to order. Probably forgot to enter a value in the quantity field and the system just defaulted to one, so instead of “2.5lbs, 10 carrots” ya got “2.5lbs, 1 carrot”. You know how much resources if takes to grow a 2.5lb carrot? It’s not a small amount. Wasteful, this is.
I misinterpreted your original comment saying that YouTube wouldn’t lead you directly to them to mean that it would stear you away from them (which would of course require them to do the sorting you’re talking about). Yeah they don’t really give a shit, just shovel whatever they think will get you to engage.
Why isn’t it in YouTube’s best interest? They don’t care if the product gets praised or trashed, they aren’t selling it, you watch the video/ ads and they’re happy
Yogurtius.
“Yo, Gurtius!”
Well, I hear that you’re not hardcore, unless you live hardcore.
Did they finally add that feature?
If you deconstruct 90% of jokes with any crude aspect, they tend to turn out like that.
People don’t literally turn into female fish when getting sexually assaulted in prison. Implying they do was the joke.

So is murder, theft, lying, death etc when it’s being told in a joke to an accepting audience.
If you mean to say you think he was saying it with implied quotations, no, he wasn’t. Neither his voice nor body language show that.
I saw someone say that he clearly meant to say “stop protecting pedophiles”, but I don’t know if they were saying it sarcastically or not.
It’d be pretty funny if that’s what he meant, though. “And we gotta stop protecting the pedophiles! C’mon, you’ve been doing it, I’ve been doing it, let’s just all agree to knock it off.”

13·27 days agoBelieving there is no reincarnation is just a religious dogma of Christianity
I don’t know that that’s true.
We as a society don’t know what happens when we die, conscious-wise. To state “we definitely do come back” or “we definitely don’t” would be incorrect, just like saying “there’s definitely aliens” vs “there definitely are not”.
However, we can use evidence we’ve gathered over thousands of years of existence and make assumptions. Unless I’m mistaken, there’s little evidence that has been accepted by the scientific community (Western or Eastern) to support reincarnation, so to say that “we don’t come back” is a Christian dogma is a little unfair.
To be clear I don’t have a strong opinion on reincarnation. I’ve heard compelling stories that are hard to explain otherwise, but I feel like we’d have been able to gather at least some concrete data on it over the span of our existence.

3DPrinting@lemmy.world•This is because of a filthy print sheet, right? (more pictures inside)English
0·1 month agoThat is incredibly strange. The only thing I’m noting is that the error looks very similar and in the same spot on both models on the print bed… I’m assuming “consistent across prints with large flat surfaces” means that you’ve seen the issue on other models as well, to rule out a model error?
I agree that there appears to be the “remnants” of a previous print or something underneath though. Did you get the printer used?
Yeah, this one appears to be legit. Wonderful.
