I’m sorry but I’m betraying y’all for robo doggie.
They are closing the whole project.
Specifically they say that they are tired of pushing fixes and that they don’t find excitement in maintaining the project. With zero mentions at all to being scrapped or having any kind of AI related issue.
I don’t know if you knew the project before seeing this post. I did, I was considering between this and freshrss and chose freshrss specifically because I knew that the end of ttrss was close (this was like 2 years ago). There were a lot of signs that the development was ending and the project was on route to be abandoned.
First, source code is on github.
Second, RSS aggregators are self hostable, not a service provided by the dev. The dev would have not issues of a public instance of ttrss hosted by someone gets scrapped.
Third, RSS aggregators doesn’t really tend to be public facing. Due to their personal nature they don’t tend to be open. They are more account based.
Sorry, I really don’t see the case here.
It really doesn’t seem like that’s the case. It doesn’t even makes much sense. What do tou think was being AI scrapped? The source code?
You could want to have multiple clients in sync.
Also a web service could be fetching 24/7 and perform classification algorithms before serving to the client that will only connect a few times a day.

1·1 month agoAndroid Debug Bridge. It is a way to control the device via command line, mainly from an external computer. Among other things allows for app installation. It’s one of the main ways to test and debug apps while being developed.

1·1 month agoI think they are looking to partner with a phone manufacturer to move graphene platform to other brand of phones.
Specially since it’s unlikely that google pixels will keep providing the spec info and openness that GOS need to work.

0·1 month agoI think you could still adb install unverified apps into your phone.
That untill they’ll block that path too.
Also I suppose that you’ll need to adb every update. So apps that would want to go this way should self check updates instead of relying on an external store.

linuxmemes@lemmy.world•What do you think about the fact that Google Pixel phones are being confiscated in Spain if they have GrapheneOS installed?
0·1 month agoHeadline is not true.
A police spokesperson from one Spanish region told that they suspect of people carrying google pixel phones because they are commonly used by drug dealers with GOS installed. It was made more as a comment than as a serious threat.
I have heard nothing about any actual confiscation based on phone OS being made.
Not really. There are kids louder than others. And while there may be some internal aspects to that a lot of that have to do with education. Specially as they grow and education starts becoming more a defining factor.
Society norms have to be bilateral, and convenient for every member of the society.
One member of society cannot fuck around not expecting to, eventually, find out.
This is why we have laws, norms and social customs. So we can live in a society.
If members of society feel that they cannot longer live next to other members is when society breaks, and, you like it or not, the social pact gets broken.
You cannot force members of a society to live en the minimum common suffering denominator. To lower everyone standards of living to the one provided by the most annoying member of the society. That’s a highway to the society giving the big F to that member.
It should be the contrary, society should try to live to the standard of the less annoyance. To avoid bother the most sensible member of the group.
It’s a everyone loses vs everyone wins situation. We should aim for the later.
What retirement?
I’ll be long dead before retirement as they keep raising retirement age far beyond what most people in my family have lived.
All I want is enough differentiated “adult only” spaces. I won’t say anyone how to raise their kids, just let me be in a space where that parenting is not happening.

In Spain we do. 1st of September All Saints Day.
