Jimmy Kimmel will return to air on Tuesday after his show was suspended following comments he made about the death of Charlie Kirk, Disney has said in a statement released in the last few moments.
“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” the statement says.
“It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”
Who’s to say this isn’t all a stunt to boost ratings?

It’s been a while since I meddled with FreeBSD. It shouldn’t be hard - it’s just a web stack with some command line ffmpeg. I think the only thing that might be a challenge is hardware encoding.
There are sweet docker images, but I guess they might require virtualization on FreeBSD.
You should be able to find instructions. I had it in a jail in my truenas before I went scale.

I was thinking of Norm Macdonald’s monologue when he got to host SNL after being fired.
It’s not just Kimmel, there are a lot of staff that would lose their jobs on the show if he refused to return.
Exactly. He is probably swimming in money already, and could easily get another well-paying job in the industry somewhere or start his own e.g. production company. But the people working for him need their jobs, and there are around 200-250 of them. So even if he could say fuck you to Disney, he has to consider his responsibility to his colleagues/employees.
