      No shit, this seems like a horrible idea for using while driving. I can maybe see it for trip planning, but on the road, you shouldn’t need to look at the screen at all

        Right? Like I hate when it has that timed reroute popup, like bro I’m using you as backup to make sure I don’t miss a turn, don’t change the route on me

            I’m referring to an older thing where it would try to reroute to a “faster”/more fuel efficient route. Idk if it still does it, if I found a way to disable it, or if they disabled it

              I’ve had the opposite experience. There were times I wish they had rerouted me because of a car crash, phantom jam, or even google telling me the route is slower, but not offering any “one-tap” alternatives.

              This is a great and welcome improvement.

        They can’t elaborate because they haven’t used it they’re just talking out of their behind.

        This community has a huge anti-google sentiment. Every single post here has a comment about de-googling or the sideloading drama that Google has already backed down from.
