3D printing is extremely more accessible than it was 5 years ago. Most people who go to these craft fairs probably know someone who has, or has access to, a 3D printer. They are available at local libraries in many places. And most importantly, even $200-300 models are very reliable and easier to use now. These businesses are a dime a dozen on Etsy. YouTube has been flooded with videos of people saying “I made X in just one year 3D printing.” Since OP knows how to design they probably should have focused on 3D design and printing services for businesses using engineering materials instead of craft fairs.

Yeah in the past year or so. I grandfathered in before they raised the price of that highest tier so I like to be sure people are aware. I’m a big fan and I think it’s worth the price.

I’m assuming you installed Jellyfin server. How did you install it? And how much experience do you have with the installation method you used?

“If” is not the correct word choice. It’s only dangerous when a service on the port gets exploited.

Jellyfin has setting for transcoding video when you are streaming to an external client. The problem is when you’re using tail scale Jellyfin is seeing that client as internal. Because of this you must set caps on the bitrate within the client that is accessing via tailscale.

This of course is assuming your server is capable of the needed transcoding demands.

I already did, no regrets. The way it handles storage is the killer feature for me. Being able to upgrade my drives or add one with very little effort is worth every penny.

If like to point out that while this comment is technically correct, it’s far from the entire story. There’s a lot more that can go wrong when 3D scanning an object than can go right. There’s usually some surface prep needed, black objects can be difficult, you need a good background, and there will also inevitably be some cleanup of the model needed.
