Or are you just observing and enjoy your peace of mind because you switched already to Linux before?
Yes, that. As far as my circle of friends and acquaintances who are running Win10 are concerned, I’ve made the effort to advise them to switch to something newer for security reasons. They will probably switch to Windows 11, but that is their concern.
I thought Vaultwarden was a server for Bitwarden? I didn’t know it could interact with KeePassXC.
Only material that is clearly child sexual abuse will be searched for and can be detected.
Uh-huh. And how do you search for something specific without decrypting everything first? This is fucking embarrassing.
The way I’m understanding it is, some F-Droid apps will still work, but their developer would have to be “verified”, whatever that entails. I’m not sure what will happen if one tried to installed an app with an unverified developer, but it probably won’t be anything good.
Whatever the case, this won’t affect most of us (sorry Brazil, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand) until 2027. I have a phone running LineageOS and will continue to use it until it gives out, but my next phone will definitely not be running android, because I am so done with this crap.
I don’t get this one. Is an intellectual supposed to read Socrates or something?

Linux@lemmy.ml•[SOLVED] how come yt-dlp on a terminal returns bash: yt-dlp: command not found even though I installed it with wget? debian 13
1·2 months agoI’ll assume you’re new to Debian, so apologies if this is not true. The reason I say this is because generally speaking, “installing with wget” isn’t how one is supposed to install software in Debian, using a program called apt is. yt-dlp is available in Debian 13’s repositories. What I suggest doing is running
apt install yt-dlpas root. That way the app will be installed globally, meaning it’ll work without the system spitting out the error you’ve described. And on another positive note, the app will get updated automatically whenever you upgrade the system. If this isn’t for you, suggestions from other users here are valid and helpful.
I’ve never used Fossify SMS, so I can’t really comment on it, but I’ve been using QKSMS as my default messenger for a few years now and I quite like it. The feature that keeps me on QKSMS is exporting and importing text messages. It’s a godsend when you’re changing phones.

Okay, how about we rephrase “Nothing to hide” and change it to “Everything to show”. Doesn’t sound good, does it?
As an aside. this stupid, tired argument is old enough to be of drinking age. Let. It. Die.
