We desperately need a phone OS the user can modify at will, by design and not by rooting, and on mainstream hardware.
I know, the argument goes that the only reason phones are so reasonably priced is the upside of upsell for manufacturers. But phones are not “reasonably priced,” they are sold at a large profit and the upsell is just greed.

I am not sure “fascist” is the best characterization of Milei. He seemed to revel more in the idea of being a Libertarian. By which I mean his brand of populism was less about Faith and Country or a return to Mythical Golden Times and more about “government bad, let’s starve government to death.”
But yeah, having to beg Trump for cash is definitely a very bad look. What makes me giddy with happiness is that the article mentions how Milei approval rating has fallen below 40 percent. Which is where - guess whose!? - approval rating is right now.

The Zucman tax is absolute minimum of what’s required at this point. It should be higher, it should be progressive, and it should start at lower levels of wealth. Moreover, in the future it should be applied globally and yearly.
I propose a simple, practical test: ask anyone with more than 100 million dollar or euro what their exact wealth is. The difference between what they say and what it really is, that can just be taxed away. It’s going to be more than 2%.
