There was organised opposition to the war on Vietnam in the armed forces, the G.I. movement being one of the more well known faces of it. The documentary Sir! No Sir! covers the basics. There’s a couple of full-length uploads on youtube and the internet archive.
They kinda did during the war on Vietnam/Cambodia/Laos. Just need them do the same on the domestic front this time.

I don’t know why you got downvoted. This project has been my default go to for installing Gentoo for a while now.
Gentoo has had an official binary repo for a little while now. Makes installing desktops and browsers pretty painless if you don’t need to tweak the default use flags. Just be sure nothing requires qtwebengine and you’re good to go (or mask it to prevent it being pulled in).
I found a few futurology comms, not sure if that’s the same thing as futurism.
Some comms also have different names but when I search futurism or futurology they are in the results so perhaps the comm description is included in the results.
Also I don’t know if the method of searching I’m using in Voyager is limited to the comms that users on the instance my account is on are subscribed to.
