@Cocodapuf @ChilledPeppers we didn’t adopt, but some of our friends did, and it’s been hard.
I don’t think they regret it at all, but hearing from them I always feel humbled when I feel exhausted from my own kids. At least we don’t have to deal with the constant court cases from the side of the bio-parents they have to deal with.

Poor kid got into panic fits when he heard his bio-mum wanted to take him away.

@aldhissla @enemyofsun I would argue even having pronouns might not be strictly necessary.

@atro_city @Menschlicher_Fehler well, the next ones will be trans people, then gays, then they just devolve into everyone non-white is evil, and then they start putting limits on whiteness as well.

@captainlezbian @GraniteM Hot Fuzz kinda did that, with the two main leads basically going all life partners with each other.
It seems the script originally had a female love interest which was found to be a bit extraneous, so they gave all her dialogue to Danny, making for some very subtext-laden discussions about life and stupid action movies.
