Reddit should have similar numbers, but this post has a 700 views/upvote ratio. This way too high and smells extremly fishy.

The driving factor is - as always - money.
People will likely no longer buy new phones if it’s all the same when compared to the previous generation.
So the companies make useless stuff up - that nobody really needs - so that they can sell more.
Apple is especially great at this because their base of sheeps is already locked in and swims in too much money that they are willing to spend.
I just updated to Windows 11 and oh boy has it gotten worse when compared to 10…
The UI, useless spacing in between items, 2nd context menu, gigantic bars on top, the somehow missing create folder button, OneDrive Integration, “Pin to quick access” everywhere, freezing up when creating thumbnails, constantly somehow resetting the layout of the user home and I’m just getting started… But hey it got tabs now
