Many in my family talk this way, except for they skip the “where were we?” part and just go on talking about the next thing that comes to mind.
It drives me crazy at times because I can’t help but follow along when people tell me stuff.

I have mixed feelings about rage bait. Sure it is funny for folks, who are not as mind twisted. But is this worth it, considering the harm done by affirming hateful opinions? Most of the “victims” will probably never find out they have been hoaxed (by the rage baiters).

Sounds lovely, thanks for the insights!

What is it like to live with her? Is she crawling around freely in your apartment? Does she bite? How did she feel about being covered up in vegan butter?

…if Lemmy had users in the Millions I think it would be much better.
At least until a certain threshold is reached. I think part of Lemmy’s charm comes from it being a small community. Though maybe this can be sustained by having more active sublemmys forming smaller groups again.
I love how you can always expect elaborate answers to your questions here. Also there seem to be less trolls and unfriendly comments in general. Pleasant culture.
Thank you for elaborating!
What are the advantages?

Good idea. I wonder though, if children can keep up the motivation. I do not want to bash the youth in a “everything was better in the old days” manner. It’s just that games nowadays are way more attention seeking. Flashy animations, sound, level design, etc, all specifically made to keep you going.
Edit: Spelling.
I’m at a loss.
