There is no software that does theming for GRUB that doesn’t break it badly and was stopped mid development and GRUB 2.0 takes deep knowledge of how it works to theme it without breaking it.

Hell the little bit of theming they added to Ventoy has them slowing GRUB updates to make sure that it is tested and tested again before they roll it out and break everyone’s install without knowing it.

I plan on doing it but I really don’t have time for it right now or any time in the future.

I think these people haven’t been aware of near-beer sales to kids going back over 60 years. Kids have been able to buy them here in Canada for longer than that, that is just the oldest person I have know to buy a 6pack of near-beer as a 5 year old kid.

That is where a decent community helps, but doesn’t get rid of the problem. Most of my help was around software and people having issues and having worked in that field I just avoid posts with certain warning signs or ones that trigger me. Also helps that I block and avoid accounts and subreddits that set me off. Mind you I have quit reddit for Lemmy once only to find the contests that were on reddit that were appearing on Lemmy were bot posts and not valid, so I had to rejoin and my original username and karma reset.

Company and community subreddits for products I use and contests/giveaways. Also there are people on there I can help that I used to do in a professional way, but because of my health, don’t anymore, and it gives me a sense of… accomplishment? Constructive and creative fulfillment that people on Lemmy just don’t need/seek out.

While both are Archive Programs, WinRAR does a bunch of things that 7Zip does not and some things 7Zip does better, as 7Zip does a couple of things that WinRAR doesn’t and a few things that WinRAR doesn’t do as well as 7Zip.

Also depending on what you are archiving WinRAR does it better for various things, where 7Zip tends to work better at Raw Data and certain Data Structures.

For Windows 10 and 11 this is just scratching the surface and is next to useless for all the stuff they leave behind.

Use ShutUpWindows10++ (yes it work on 11 too) and THAT will get the vast majority of the stuff that this video doesn’t even touch on.
