This is probably not an appropriate question, but… are you hiring?
I was abused by my christian parents.
I would like to live long enough to see humanity mature out of superstition and free the world from human greed.

This is probably not an appropriate question, but… are you hiring?

And if heaven is not real, we should focus on the lives we are living.
Any religion that claims a happy afterlife exists is a death cult. “Your baby is in heaven now! Why aren’t you happy?”

I also like how Jesus has two different lineages depending on which gospel you read. Apologists try to say one of them is about Mary’s parents and not Joseph’s, but the text is explicit.
Matthew 1: “Jacob begot Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus…”
Luke 3: “Jesus himself was about thirty years old when he began his ministry. He was the son, so it was thought, of Joseph, the son of Heli.”
So was Joseph’s father Jacob, or Heli?
There are many more. The bible is literally unbelievable. Chapter 2 lists a different creation order from chapter 1. Anyone claiming it contains no contradictions is drinking the kool-aid. It would be funny if people weren’t dying for it.

Platforms like twitter and facebook (and many “news” companies) brainwash their users, mostly by providing multiple different lies. Users pick whichever lie appeals to them the most, and they pretend they have found the truth.
To combat this, we need to emphasize the importance of thinking critically and verifying claims.
State the facts. Correct their misconceptions. Emphasize that billionaires are intentionally killing us all; lazy thinkers might reconsider if there is a possibility their life is at stake. I’m not saying threaten them, but we are all threatened by human greed.
The people you’re talking to might not listen, but someone else might. Sometimes it just takes repetition to get through to someone, hearing the same clear message from multiple different sources.

“There’s a high risk of death, of course people will die.”
Yeah. That’s why we should reduce that risk. We don’t have to keep killing people.
Can children understand the risks? They suffer regardless:
About 7 out of 10 emergency department visits for sports- and recreation-related TBIs and concussions are among children ages 17 and under. For this age group, boys have about twice the rate of emergency department visits for sports- or recreation-related TBIs and concussions than girls. However, girls have a higher chance for sports-related concussion than boys in sports that use the same rules, like soccer and basketball.
“Just give us your name, address, and more, and we’ll stop violating your privacy (on the surface). Training AI? Well, obviously. Selling to data brokers? I mean, why wouldn’t we? We’ll delete the document after we’ve stored all the details in our database, of course.”
“Google says the document is deleted after 60 days.”
Lol. They absolutely keep all of the data.

Several things to note here.
There is no evidence that Stephen Hawking participated in any child abuse.
Yes—Stephen Hawking visited Jeffrey Epstein’s island in 2006 and was photographed there [2] [3], but there is no substantiated, court-filed evidence in the released documents proving he participated in an underage sexual orgy or committed sexual crimes; references to such a claim appear as an allegation Epstein sought to rebut in a 2015 email, not as proof or a charge against Hawking [7] [4] [8].
https://factually.co/fact-checks/science/did-stephen-hawking-visit-jeffrey-epstein-island-e24a6e
If he did participate, it was despite his scientific inclinations, not because of them. We have endless evidence that sexually abusing children causes short- and long-term harm. A study by Rind et al tried to claim that the harm caused by childhood sexual abuse is overstated, but the study was ripped apart by other scientists. It is not considered to be scientifically valid because it failed empirical verification.
If Hawking abused children, he had no one to blame but himself. Conversely, when religious people do it, they may claim that satan tempted them to sin, or that god is actually fine with child abuse (which is supported by multiple bible verses). The bible also fails empirical verification, obviously, but religious people are more interested in claims that comfort them regardless of veracity. Hawking did not believe in divine forgiveness or an afterlife. Religious abusers may think that prayer and repentance is sufficient to put them back on track to go to heaven, regardless of how much the victim was harmed or whether the offender harms more victims in the future.
Many catholic abusers are actively, intentionally protected instead of reported:
Dioceses across the United States and beyond faced accusations of mishandling cases of abuse, often prioritizing institutional reputation over victim safety. Instead of reporting allegations to law enforcement, some bishops reassigned accused priests to new parishes, where they sometimes continued to abuse. These transfers were often undocumented or vaguely recorded to avoid scrutiny.
Can self-professed scientists do wrong? Yes. But I would argue they are not applying science in those instances, and we can determine the difference by examining empirical evidence.

Ironically the Catholic Church is one religion that tends to agree with science.
Maybe they learned their lesson after putting Galileo on trial. But they still believe in a magic man in the sky and they rape kids.

a secular leader being legitimate implies that the Church is not supposed to be the government, but rules the realm of god or the “spiritual” world.
No, it’s much stupider than that. They take credit for “secular” leaders, too.
Romans 13:
Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. 4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.

they aren’t demanding the church should have full control either.
Yes, many are doing exactly that.
Religious people are delusional, bu luckily the Bible does have some limitations to the influence of their religious delusions, that unfortunately Islam doesn’t have.
The bible frequently contradicts itself. Everyone has their own headcanon. There is no limit when you tolerate magical thinking.
And you can see the difference very clearly in that regard between Christian and Muslim countries. Where AFAIK Turkey is the only somewhat secular Muslim dominated country thanks to Atatürk.
I can agree that muslim countries are generally worse than christian ones.
But a christian nation has the potential to be just as horrific as any muslim one. The foundation is “submit completely to violent authority.”
Why are we tolerating ANY death cults? Why are we allowing grown adults to make shit up to everyone’s detriment?

This is one of the corner stones of why Christian countries aren’t patriarchies
So why are christians trying to repeal women’s right to vote in the United States?
Christianity, like all the abrahamic faiths, is a misogynistic death cult. Are there some good verses in the bible? Sure. But please stop ignoring the bad ones.

It’s not just altruism. Empathy is reasonable. Cooperation is necessary for our survival. If we give up, the rich will kill us all.

Why can’t they just pull themselves up by their bootstraps? No one wants to work anymore…

Put 🚫 on top of💲?
It is the information age. We do not need physical money, we have the means to track resource allocation, production, processing, and need. Money incentivizes competition instead of cooperation. As human beings living on the same planet, we all have similar goals. The rich are using their money to hoard even more money, deliberately depriving others of their basic necessities.
I don’t want to be a slave or a master. I don’t want to be rich. I want a life worth living, work worth doing. I want to help people.
I get that it will take much time and effort to change, but if we don’t, we might all die for someone else’s greed. Many people already have. Easier said than done, admittedly.

“Golly, the way those humans were hunted for sport really rustles my jimmies.”

Tenacious D also wrote “the Government Totally Sucks” (you motherfuckers). Maybe they feared legal repercussions or public backlash for endorsing violent solutions to violent problems.
But we didn’t start the violence. Are we supposed to do nothing while we’re all systematically enslaved and slaughtered? Luigi acted in self and public defense, and he is not the only one.

Yeah… I wrote a song about it.
Without time, nothing can occur.
Let’s see what Jesus said about heaven in Matthew 13:
It’s a metaphor where believers are the wheat and nonbelievers are the weeds. Both are allowed to grow, but only the wheat goes back to the farmer.
Later in the chapter, Jesus explains it explicitly:
He tells a similar parable with fish instead of crops:
Christian “love” hinges on threat of eternal punishment.
Then there are parables he doesn’t explain:
In Matthew 6, he emphasizes that you’ll have eternal treasures in heaven:
Sounds materialistic.
Jesus gets way too much credit. He said some stupid, deadly bullshit. He was a liar and a hypocrite.
