Where I live its always luxuries that people steal, like fancy wines. If someone is stealing bread or vegetables that is actual food.

What is the endgame if we just let everyone steal everything? A lot of theft here is done by gangs to resell for profit and I am absolutely not OK with encouraging that kind of behaviour.

My partner sometimes mentions spending more time together. I want it to be more quality time though and not just sat watching brainrot reality TV.

At least that isn’t all she watches, there are some things she likes that I do enjoy watching together. But when she finds a few new reality TV things and watches that I will just go and do something else.

“Food pricing” is usually an average. Meat has gone up a lot but veg remains very cheap. While I am not fully vegan I also don’t see why anyone needs to eat meat.

If I was under the poverty line again I could go back to feeding myself for under £25/month and it would still be a fairly healthy diet. Housing costs so much more, even renting just a bedroom is like £500+ per month now.

Usually it does and it will be ideal conditions. So it still won’t make 30w but it will do much better than 8w.

I agree with that. But stealing luxury products? That isn’t necessary to survive.

I would rather not live in a society full of rampant theft.

UK has both, and yet shoplifting is still rising.

I find its usually the better food that they are stealing. I don’t think wine is an essential product.

Look at UK supermarket prices to see what happens when they are trying to compete on prices.

I could fill an entire sack with carrots and potatoes for less than the cost of a single pint at a pub.

Only in some areas, no restrictions where I live fortunately. Just dumped a couple hundred litres on some food I am growing.

Surely they could, just need a bigger heat exchanger. Or even place them near the sea and use that as a heat exchanger. Evaporative cooling also isn’t going to work as well in the UK where humidity is high.

But IIRC a lot of this water use stuff is kinda sketchy calculations. Building them takes a lot of water due to all the concrete but it is a one off cost and just as bad as building any other large building.

Used to have to use one and I just don’t understand the bagless appeal. I like having a bag to contain all this awful dust. Felt like I needed to wash every time I emptied it and they fill up so fast in comparison too.

And what kind of fan could you get with that money… Pretty sure I could get an industrial one that exchanges most of the air in my house in minutes or even seconds.

Regular fans dont have exposed blades either, there is a mesh over it.

My phone isn’t always on my LAN and I don’t always have internet access when away from it.
