  • What if this is the upgrade?

If the AI was to be trained on explicitly and only information relevant to air traffic control it would likely have very deep knowledge - there’s not mountains of misinformation and people’s personal musings about air traffic control. And as long as a session is refreshed often enough it should never start mentally degrading.

AI is unethical for a lot of reasons and I think we are rushing into this and I don’t trust the people doing it and I hate this time line, but in another time line where sane and smart people are in charge and AI had strict guard rails and security measures an AI could absolutely do the bulk of this job. I’d still want humans around incase of emergencies or to help a pilot who’s in need of information, but the logistics of the job? An AI can be REALLY good at logistics

  • They are barbaric compared to Invisalign. My kids had traditional braces and every few months they’d go get them adjusted aka ratcheted down to the point of pain and the next week would be nothing but soft foods that still hurt to eat, headaches, tension headaches, facial and mouth pain, bad sleep. Slightly adjusting every week gets you minor soreness at worst for a day or two, it’s significantly more comfortable and at least where I live traditional braces are more expensive. In retrospect we should have probably not done traditional braces for our kids but losing trays/not keeping them on is a real problem with kids and Invisalign

  • Mine was $2500 to correct an open bite, a slight underbite and significant gapping caused by decades of open mouth breathing from chronic (constant) sinusitis. $7k seems bonkers but $2500 was doable for me and fixed a lot of my neck pain, a droopy eyelid (caused by the cross bite) and I’m glad I did it, definitely could not have afforded $7k though, that’s crazy
