I also just toughed it out and radically accepted and expected them to happen tbh, and I didn’t taper off either, I just got off them immediately which is inadvisable but I have a thing where i’d rather have big pain fast than small pain slow. Generally avoid complimenting their physique or appearance. Other than that, just be nice to them the way you are with your friends and be platonic by default. “Cool shoes.”
But like, also be genuine about it. If they aren’t cool shoes then don’t say they’re cool shoes. Find something else that’s cool.
