  • Ok… a ‘smart’ bed with adjustable angles and heating I can see happening… and it isnt THAT complicated. I am certain there were luxury beds last century that were capable of this. But why the FUCK do they need an internet connection? Why the FUCK do they need communication with some server in the middle of bumfuck nowhere to function correctly?

We are literally opening up the way go cyberpunk style ‘murder by hacking furniture’ around the home. I mean they are also HIGHLY insecure devices to the extent that I am surprised we haven’t seen script kiddies fucking around with people on these already.

  • I never forgot about that. But the problem is that every fucking day Trump does something insane. It is actually really, REALLY hard to keep up. When anti-Trumpers do something wrong, it is often the biggest thing they did and people will not shut up about it.

I mean imagine if this a crime like burglary. A guy who did a single burglary years ago has obviously done something wrong, but what if you got a second person who provably did hundreds? I’m sorry, but you can’t just focus on the latest shit. Trump has been doing this basically his entire life. He has no redeeming virtues whatsoever. Even during his ‘business’ days in the 80s and 90s when he was going from failure to failure, he would insult his investors that he didn’t screw them up even more… and they would still give him more money for his next failed scheme. I don’t get it.

  • No it just the ever growing feeling of sameness and nothing new coming up.

As a young kid in the late 80s and early 90s I saw shit just go from big to bigger in only a few years. Jokes about computers becoming obsolete the moment they are shipped were everywhere. Graphics and computing power exploded in the 90s and all the way until the 2010s and… things didn’t seem to be that much different. A computer I would have had in 2000 would be aching for a replacement in 2005, and the same from 2005 to 2010 and so on. But now I feel like a computer I would have had from 2015 or 2018 would not be too far behind today.

Maybe things got more efficient. But it just seemed like things haven’t changed that much. I mean they did. Cloud computing has gotten huge, but in terms of users and usability things haven’t budged.
