Former IDF military advocate general Maj. Gen. Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, who was released to house arrest last week after being detained over the Sde Teiman video leak, was hospitalized on Sunday morning after medics were called to her home over what was later confirmed to have been a suicide attempt.
On Sunday night, Police Commissioner Danny Levy confirmed that Tomer-Yerushalmi had been hospitalized following an attempt to end her own life. "Her life isn’t rosy,” he said of the disgraced prosecutor, after a protester was detained outside of her home.
The police chief also addressed the allegations against Tomer-Yerushalmi, saying that “if she committed the offense, this affects how the army looks, how soldiers behave. We send our kids to an organization where they should be sure that nobody is leaking things, and that’s why we’re probing it,” he added.

This is the person who leaked the video of IDF soldiers beating and gang-raping a Palestinian prisoner. The Israeli government has been outraged, not by the abusers of the prisoner, but by the whistleblower leaking the video. So they have gone after her with full force while letting the rapey soldiers go free.
And after the video initially leaked, the citizens of Israel went on a Right-to-Rape riot and broke into the military prisons to support the ones who were shoving metal rods into prisoners assholes.

Yeah, what they did was a huge turning point and, imo, the point of complete collapse for Israeli propaganda. No wonder Israel is trying to make her unalive herself - she brought the reality of Israeli culture into public conception.
For those who are unaware, she leaked footages of war crimes committed by a set of IDF soldiers. Why? She was the top lawyer of the military, tasked with enforcement of rule of law inside IDF. When she started the probe, the far right harrassed her, and even attacked her. In an attempt to control the abuse she leaked the footage. But that didn’t stop the abuse. Later she had to admit she is the person behind leaking the footage, had to step down, and face the enquiry.
In no way I’m going to argue she was a guardian angel or someone standing up for human rights, because she did the investigation purely to avoid international scrutiny. The logic is if the internal scrutiny is strong then international enformant agencies (like ICC, which I found hilarious), will not interfere with the matters inside the Isreal. In other words create a bunch of scapegoats, so that the war crimes can be continued.
