My point is exactly what I said, we tend to make excuses when the US does something terrible but condemn when China does it. I am not defending China, I am merely highlighting the hypocrisy. When Wikileaks showed that the US was spying on every EU leader and it’s people nobody cared, but Huawei was quickly banned when we found out China was involved in espionage. Eu leaders need to realize the US is NOT our ally, given the chance they would sell every European life for a barrel of oil to feed their dying empire. Yes its true, but we as a society need to learn the distinction between a pedophile and a child abuser, they are often one and the same but sometimes not. Pedophiles are people who are mentally ill, child abusers are criminals. There are pedophiles who recognize their desires are monstrous and choose never to act upon them. I believe there is even a website to provide group community anonymous mental health help to this people, I think is called pedophiles with virtue if I am not mistaken.

As a clinical psychologist I am often frustrated by the lack of proper research done of pedophiles, I get it that is a very sensitive and disgusting matter for the population but we need data to identify and help this people before they commit crimes, just pretending they don’t exist and waiting for the crime to happen is not helping anyone.
