Lars Ulrich of Metallica is I think the most hated metal musician today, with the Napster case and his recent performances which are way too snare-heavy if you ask me (some would use the word “lazy”).

But the large majority of the metal scene acts as if he was the worst drummer ever, which is obviously not the case. If you go and listen to Metallica’s 80s and early 90s stuff, including bootlegs of live performances, this drummer is more than capable, but he also invented a lot of fills and patterns that came to be used prominently by others, like Mike Portnoy.

So I’m not saying this in defense of the guy - don’t know him personally - but that’s a blatant case of people not listening with their ears if you ask me…

In my experience reading is much more efficient than watching/interacting with a screen. It doesn’t need to be something thought provoking, might even be some comics if it suits you more. But written words have power because you make your own rendition in your mind.

I remember getting my Nokia 8210, one of the smallest phones ever, you didn’t need to buy a bag or bring a jacket just to carry the phone around… Incredible concept

The first distro I used was SuSE (yes, before there was “Open” in the name 😅) on a Pentium III

I spent many years on Arch, but it don’t think it’s the distro I used the most any longer…

The distro I am using now is Fedora Workstation, which has been my daily driver for a dozen years now, and it’s also my favorite distro.

The distro I’ll be using in the future may be Silverblue

The distro I hate the most… is Ubuntu 😆 I had so many troubles over the years with this one, there was always something nonfunctional

My honorable mention: CachyOS looks pretty nice 😉

As for all the distros I tried… there’s way too many 😅
