I’ve got three days of Thanksgiving dinners. It’s a lot here.
Saturday with the in-laws, Sunday for my family, Monday at our place with friends. It’s nice but it’s so much food. Then leftover turkey for a week.

Not even capitalizing the “H” in He/Him, it’s been a while since I’ve had to go to church but I’m pretty sure it’s considered offensive or incorrect or something if you don’t capitalize, right?

The most recent federal election here was 92% conservative in Alberta

I mostly agree but I’d say AB would be closer to 90:10 R. I’ve got family and friends there and it’s very conservative. I don’t actually know a single liberal Albertan.
The rest is spot on though.
I was recently messing around with an iPod touch 5th gen, with dimensions 4.86 inches (123.4 mm) in height, 2.31 inches (58.6 mm) in width, and 0.24 inches (6.1 mm) in depth. It weighs approximately 3.10 ounces (88 grams). It felt fantastic in the hand and I want a phone that size now.
I was near an Apple store a few days ago and tried out the iPhone air, it was honestly really nice in the hand. I wouldn’t buy one, but seeing in person, I kinda get it.

We need a name for lemmy users running arch on their pc that they’re using to watch stuff on their Jellyfin server
Yeah, that’s fair.
Funny, that scene is what makes it one of my all-time favourite movies. I rewatch it sometimes just for that scene.
They were supposed to open for Iron Maiden when I saw them last year but had equipment issues or something and couldn’t play :( I was looking forward to seeing them. Their music is sick.

+1 to that. I’m not very tech savvy and I could figure it out with a couple YouTube tutorials.
Miyazaki and Tarantino need to team up.

What do you recommend? I’m not in the market right now but I probably will be in the near ish future.

I just switched to CachyOS and I’m really enjoying it so far. My journey so far has been Mint > Bazzite > Kubuntu > back to Mint > CachyOS and for the first time I don’t have any real complaints. There’s a voice inside my head telling me to jump to just standard Arch though. Not really sure why. Have you tried standard Arch? If so, how does it compare to CachyOS? I probably won’t end up switching, I haven’t had any issues yet and I’m a computer problem magnet and certified idiot, so I’ll probably stick to what works, but something draws me to pure Arch.
Right now if you’re in the UK (or your IP says you’re in the UK) imgur won’t load due to a recent law going into effect. I’m not British so I don’t 100% know all the details but that’s all that’s important for this joke. Anyway, this shows a colour blind test but it says “fuck the imgur blind”. I’m thinking this image is being hosted on imgur so only people who aren’t British (and therefore aren’t “imgur blind”) can see it, therefore fuck the imgur blind because they can’t see it.
At least that’s how I took it. I may be wrong.
